On Sunday

We have just one service on a Sunday - at 10.30am - an opportunity for the whole church family, of all ages, to gather together for worship. We are a growing congregation - averaging about 60+, including children, each week.

In our church services we aim for...

a warm welcome - we see that as a vital starting pointa combination of God-centred reverent worship and human lightness of touch music that helps us to lift our hearts to God, using a mix of traditional hymns and modern songsleadership of the service that ensures everybody can be at ease, knowing what page to turn to, etcpreaching that is clear, Biblically based and relevant, (often following a series on a Bible book or on a theme)the love of Jesus proclaimed by word, sacrament, prayer, music and our fellowship togetheran openness to the work of the Holy Spirit.

For details of services and sermons over the coming period, please see the Sermons page.

There is a regular programme of support for mission societies and charities, including SAMS (South American Mission Society), Christian Aid, Barnabas Fund, Toynbee Hall, Blythswood Care, Children's Society, Dartford and Gravesham Women's Aid, and the Ellenor Foundation. (See the Links page for more details of some of these).

Obviously, if you are looking for a traditional Gothic-style building, this church cannot provide that! Nor does it aim for an elaborate ritual. But it does aim to be a community where people can find God's love, can express true worship, can enjoy fellowship with other Christians, can engage with the Bible's teaching, can pray together, and can be encouraged in daily Christian living and service.

Normally the service is Holy Communion, using Common

 Worship (i.e. a modern-language service). All committed

followers of Jesus are welcome to receive communion.

Alternatively, people can feel totally at ease in either going up to

receive a prayer of blessing, or remaining in the seats when

 others go forward for communion.

So if you have not been confirmed, please do not feel that

this is any barrier to you coming to this service.

When we have a Parade Service with

 the uniformed organisations (e.g. at

 Harvest, Remembrance Sunday,

Christingle) or when we have a Baptism

or similar service, then we have Morning

Worship instead of Holy Communion. On

average through the year this works out at

 about once a month.

After the service coffee and other refreshments are served at

the back of the church. A wide range of Fairtrade materials is

available for sale at the same time.

Twice a month, alongside the service,

there is King's Kids, our group for

children - for more details click here.
