Facilities

The church has a good-sized car park, which is large enough to cope with most ordinary services. If full, parking in the road raises no problem.

There are toilets within the building, with baby-changing facilities.

Unlike many churches, ours is warm in winter - so you can take your coat off as you come in!

While we do not have a ramp into the church building, access is very easy as there are just two very shallow, widely separated steps at the entrance. We are planning to install an accessible toilet during the summer holiday period in 2008. There is a loop-system for the hard-of-hearing. The Holy Communion service booklet, the hymn book and the service sheet are all available in large-print versions - please just ask for these if they would be helpful.

Weddings

We haven't got a lych gate, and we haven't got pointed gothic stained-glass windows, but we have got an excellent building where everybody can see without difficulty, and lovely grounds for the photos afterwards. And we will do all we can to make your day special. To book your wedding, please contact the Vicar.

Home visits

If you, or someone you know, would like a visit at home, (e.g. because of sickness), please contact the Vicar. If you would prefer a lady to visit, please ask for our Pastoral Assistant, Mrs Val O'Sullivan.

Funerals

The Vicar is available to conduct a funeral service for anybody from the parish. Normally the contact will be made on your behalf by the funeral director, but you are also welcome to make contact direct with the Vicar if a member of your family living in the parish has died.

It is of course possible to hold a funeral service in church, prior to going to a crematorium or cemetery, and we are always very happy to arrange this, (although in term time, because of the extent to which the building is in use, this can only be done at certain times of the week).

The church has a small Garden of Remembrance in the grounds, and ashes can be buried here. There is also a Book of Remembrance, which is open at the appropriate page at each Sunday service. We also hold an annual Memorial Service on the Sunday nearest to All Saints' Day.
