Home-groups

The church runs 4 home-groups, meeting on different evenings of the week. One of the groups is particularly geared for those exploring or just beginning in Christian faith. The groups include Bible study, discussion, prayer, etc, all in a setting of caring, supportive fellowship. (As of summer 2008 we are looking at the possibility of starting a daytime group as well.)

Home Communion

There is a monthly informal service of Holy Communion in the home of one of the church members.

Mothers' Union

A monthly meeting, (on the last Thursday afternoon of the month), in the Harold Porter Hall, behind the church.

Parent and Toddler Group

Every Monday, from 1.30pm - 3.00pm. £1 charge. An opportunity to meet other mums, with plenty of toys for the toddlers. All are welcome. Although this group is semi-independent of the church, it is indirectly supported by the church, and links with the church are growing. The group has its own website - click here.

Pop-in Parlour

This is an increasingly popular weekly group for members of the local community who may be lonely, or simply wishing to make new friends.

It meets in the Harold Porter Hall, behind the church, on Monday afternoons, 2pm - 4pm (not in holiday periods).

St Barnabas Ladies' Club

A monthly group, drawing members both from within the church and from outside, with a varied social programme. On the 2nd Monday evening of the month.
